A bill for an act
relating to transportation; providing for conveyance of state land to the city
of Newport.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin CONVEYANCE OF STATE LAND; WASHINGTON COUNTY.

new text begin (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 16B.281 to 16B.287; 92.45;
161.43; and 161.44, or any other law to the contrary, the commissioner of transportation
shall convey and quitclaim to the city of Newport all right, title, and interest of the state of
Minnesota in the land described in paragraph (c).

new text begin (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The attorney
general may make changes to the land description to correct errors and ensure accuracy.
The consideration for the conveyance shall be the fair market value of the described land.

new text begin (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Washington County and is described as:

new text begin That part of Minnesota Department of Transportation right-of-way plat no. 82-105
according to the plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the county recorder,
Washington County, Minnesota, described as follows:

new text begin Commencing at the most southerly point of said Minnesota Department of
Transportation right-of-way plat no. 82-105 also described on said Minnesota Department
of Transportation right-of-way plat no. 82-105 as monument B14; thence North 89
degrees 23 minutes 29 seconds West assumed bearing along the most southerly line of
said Minnesota Department of Transportation right-of-way plat no. 82-105 for a distance
of 150 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing North 89 degrees 23 minutes
29 seconds West along said southerly line of Minnesota Department of Transportation
right-of-way plat no. 82-105 for a distance of 60.04 feet; thence North 12 degrees 55
minutes 17 seconds West for a distance of 102.32 feet; thence North 32 degrees 27 minutes
34 seconds West for a distance of 188.48 feet; thence North 51 degrees 59 minutes 59
seconds West for a distance of 426.78 feet; thence North 79 degrees 25 minutes 19 seconds
East for a distance of 481.45 feet; thence southerly along a nontangential curve concave to
the West having a radius of 2,764.77 feet, a central angle of 11 degrees 09 minutes 53
seconds, an arc length of 538.75 feet, a chord length of 537.89 feet, and a chord bearing of
South 05 degrees 05 minutes 36 seconds East; thence South 00 degrees 29 minutes 21
seconds West tangential to said curve for a distance of 74.76 feet to the most southerly
line of said Minnesota Department of Transportation right-of-way plat no. 82-105 and the
point of beginning and there terminating.
