1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating the Edina High School boys swimming and diving team on
1.3winning the 2019 State High School Class AA boys swimming and diving
1.4championship.
1.5WHEREAS, competitive sports in our high schools are helpful in teaching the principles of
1.6sportsmanship and fair play, thereby contributing to better citizenship; and
1.7WHEREAS, the Edina swimming and diving team participated in the 2019 State High School
1.8Class AA boys swimming and diving tournament; and
1.9WHEREAS, they defeated the second-place finisher, the Chanhassen/Chaska StormHawks,
1.10268-205 in the final meet of the tournament to win the state championship; and
1.11WHEREAS, the Hornets finished the regular season with an outstanding record; and
1.12NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.13congratulations are extended to the members of the Edina High School boys swimming/diving team
1.14for their sportsmanship and skill.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.16enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.17Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the principal of Edina
1.18High School.
