1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Dylan Balken of St. Michael, Minnesota, for earning the rank of Eagle
1.3Scout.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout rank is the highest rank earned in the Boy Scouts of America;
1.5and
1.6WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in Scouts BSA is an important achievement
1.7that is worthy of recognition; and
1.8WHEREAS, Dylan Balken is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and has displayed
1.9the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.10WHEREAS, Dylan has demonstrated mastery of all Scouting skills, completed a community
1.11service project building 'Little Libraries' for Fieldstone Elementary to make books available to kids
1.12outside of school, and fulfilled all other requirements necessary to attain the rank of Eagle Scout;
1.13and
1.14WHEREAS, Dylan will graduate from St. Michael-Albertville High School in 2022 and is
1.15planning a career in the military with the goal of becoming a pilot; and
1.16WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held; and
1.17NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.18congratulates Dylan Balken of St. Michael, Minnesota, for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
1.19BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.20copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.21Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Dylan Balken.
