1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating the Rochester Lourdes High School football team on winning the 2014
1.3State High School Class AAA football championship.
1.4WHEREAS, competitive sports in our high schools are helpful in teaching the principles of
1.5sportsmanship and fair play, thereby contributing to better citizenship; and
1.6WHEREAS, the Rochester Lourdes Eagles participated in the 2014 State High School Class
1.7AAA football tournament on November 22, 2014, at the TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis; and
1.8WHEREAS, they defeated New London-Spicer Wildcats 35 to 14 in the final game of the
1.9tournament to win the state championship; and
1.10WHEREAS, the Eagles finished the regular season with an outstanding 13 - 0 record; and
1.11NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.12congratulations are extended to the members of the Rochester Lourdes High School football team
1.13and Coach Mike Kesler and his staff for their sportsmanship and skill.
1.14BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare
1.15an enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of
1.16the Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the Director of
1.17Rochester Catholic Schools.
