1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Jack Schutz for receiving the Eagle Scout Award.
1.3WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America is an organization dedicated to promoting community
1.4involvement, character building, citizenship and personal fitness; and
1.5WHEREAS, the highest advancement rank is the rank of Eagle Scout and to earn the rank, a Boy
1.6Scout must fulfill specific requirements in the areas of leadership, service and outdoor skills; and
1.7WHEREAS, the rank of an Eagle Scout is the highest honor, promoting community service which
1.8will serve the young man throughout his life; and
1.9WHEREAS, Jack Schutz completed a community service project in which he led a student group at
1.10Middle School West to develop and implement innovative ideas for redesigning more modern classrooms;
1.11and
1.12WHEREAS, Jack Schutz has attained the highest honor of Scouting, the rank of Eagle Scout; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it commends
1.14Jack Schutz on his dedication and congratulates him in earning the rank of Eagle Scout.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an enrolled
1.16copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the Senate
1.17Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Jack Schutz.
