1.2honoring Kelsey Frizell of Maple Grove on receiving a Comcast Leaders
1.3and Achievers Scholarship.
1.4WHEREAS, the Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship program recognizes high
1.5school students on the basis of community service, leadership skills, positive attitude, and
1.6academic achievement; and
1.7WHEREAS, the program underscores the philosophy that young people should have
1.8every opportunity to achieve their potential and be motivated as catalysts for positive change in
1.9their schools and communities; and
1.10WHEREAS, based on her outstanding accomplishments, Kelsey Frizell of Maple Grove,
1.11who is planning to attend the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York, has been
1.12nominated to receive this award; and
1.13WHEREAS, the 12th Annual Comcast Scholarship Recognition Event will be held on May
1.1410, 2016, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Saint Paul Hotel; and
1.15NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.16it congratulates Kelsey Frizell of Maple Grove on receiving a Comcast Leaders and Achievers
1.17Scholarship, and wishes her well in her future plans.
1.18BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.19enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.20Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Kelsey Frizell.
