1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Adam James Kusske of Maple Plain for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.3WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America,
1.4and attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement that is worthy
1.5of recognition; and
1.6WHEREAS, Adam James Kusske is an exemplary member of Boy Scouts of America
1.7Troop 206 who has met all requirements necessary to earn the rank of Eagle, including completion
1.8of a community service project, at the especially young age of 14; and
1.9WHEREAS, Adam's scouting honors include the Religious Emblem, the World
1.10Conservation Award, and induction into the Order of the Arrow; and
1.11WHEREAS, Adam was also awarded the rare Medal of Merit in 2015 for rescuing a
1.12toddler in danger of drowning in a swimming pool; he is the first Boy Scout in the 70-year history
1.13of Troop 206 to be so honored; and
1.14WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held in recognition of Adam James Kusske;
1.15and
1.16NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.17congratulates Adam James Kusske for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.18BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.19copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.20Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Adam James Kusske.
