1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring Aaron Jackson Zellhoefer for heroic actions.
1.3WHEREAS, on February 4, 2007, Aaron Zellhoefer was traveling along Interstate 94 in
1.4Minneapolis when he witnessed a stalled pickup truck get struck by another vehicle and burst
1.5into flames; and
1.6WHEREAS, Aaron pulled his own vehicle over and approached the wreck; and
1.7WHEREAS, seeing the driver stuck inside the flaming vehicle, Aaron broke the glass
1.8of the door, freed the victim from his seat belt, and pulled him from the car to a safe distance
1.9away from the vehicle; and
1.10WHEREAS, Aaron Zellhoefer's quick thinking and decisive actions that day contributed
1.11largely to the survival of the accident victim; and
1.12NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.13commends Aaron Zellhoefer for courage, conviction, and commitment to the safety of others in
1.14the face of a dangerous situation.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.16enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair
1.17of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Aaron Jackson Zellhoefer.
