1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating William Caturia for receiving the Eagle Award. 1.3WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and 1.4WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement 1.5that is worthy of recognition; and 1.6WHEREAS, William Caturia is a member of Boy Scouts of America and has displayed the 1.7attributes of a responsible and serving member; and 1.8WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a community 1.9service project at the city of Vermillion's athletic complex, which involved maintaining the boards 1.10at the outdoor hockey rink to protect them from the elements; William repaired holes in the boards 1.11and other dangerous conditions and then primed and painted both sides of the boards so they can 1.12serve the community for years to come, and he also painted parking barrier posts a bright yellow 1.13to make them more visible and to otherwise clean up the look of the hockey rink area; and 1.14WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held; and 1.15NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it 1.16congratulates William Caturia for receiving the Eagle Award. 1.17BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a 1.18copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the 1.19Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to William Caturia.
