1.1A Senate resolution
1.2commending Dan Lund for his years of service as Mayor of Newport.
1.3WHEREAS, those who work tirelessly for the betterment of their communities perform a
1.4valuable public service worthy of legislative recognition; and
1.5WHEREAS, Dan Lund served as Mayor of Newport until his term concluded on December
1.631, 2020; and
1.7WHEREAS, prior to his term as Mayor of Newport, Dan Lund served as a member of the
1.8Newport City Council; and
1.9NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.10thanks Dan Lund for his years of service to the Newport community and extends warm wishes for
1.11his future endeavors.
1.12BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.13enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.14Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Dan Lund.
