A bill for an act
relating to health; appropriating money for a grant to a nonprofit organization to
address hepatitis B-related health disparities.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $200,000 in fiscal year 2017 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of health for a grant to a nonprofit organization to provide education and
outreach to Minnesota's immigrant and refugee populations on the prevalence of hepatitis
B among these populations and the need for early screening and vaccinations to prevent
and treat this disease.
