relating to higher education; appropriating money to the Board of Regents of the
University of Minnesota for network upgrades.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA; CYBER SECURITY UPGRADE.

new text begin $19,000,000 in fiscal year 2017 is appropriated from the general fund to the Board
of Regents of the University of Minnesota for purposes of upgrading the university's
network to improve systemwide data security for students, faculty, staff, and public users.
This is a onetime appropriation.
