A bill for an act
 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a regional detention
facility needs assessment.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. ARROWHEAD; REGIONAL DETENTION FACILITIES NEEDS
ASSESSMENT.

$100,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of public
safety for a grant to the Arrowhead Regional Development Commission to conduct an
assessment of law enforcement needs for detention facilities in northeast Minnesota.

EFFECTIVE DATE.

This section is effective the day following final enactment.
