A bill for an act
relating to higher education; appropriating money for the spinal cord and traumatic
brain injury research grant program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; MINNESOTA SPINAL CORD INJURY AND
TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY RESEARCH GRANT PROGRAM.

new text begin $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 and $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2021 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of the Office of Higher Education for transfer to the
spinal cord and traumatic brain injury grant account in the special revenue fund under
Minnesota Statutes, section 136A.901. The commissioner may use no more than three
percent of this appropriation to administer the grant program.
