1.15We, the undersigned conferees for H. F. No. 1728 report that we have agreed upon
1.16the items in dispute and recommend as follows:
1.17That the Senate recede from its amendment and that H. F. No. 1728 be further
1.18amended as follows:
1.19Page 6, after line 34, insert:

1.20    "Sec. 4. INVENTORY OF EARLY CHILDHOOD SERVICES.
1.21    Subdivision 1. Creation. (a) The State Advisory Council on Early Childhood
1.22Education and Care under Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.141, shall create an inventory
1.23of early childhood services.
1.24(b) The inventory shall to the degree resources are available:
1.25(1) identify programs and initiatives funded by state, federal, or private dollars;
1.26(2) provide brief descriptions and any existing evaluations of programs under which
1.27services are received;
1.28(3) provide budget allocations toward the outcome areas; and
1.29(4) include subsections describing specific:
1.30(i) geographic regions served by the program;
2.1(ii) number of children eligible;
2.2(iii) number of children enrolled; and
2.3(iv) age, ethnicity and race, and family income demographics of children enrolled.
2.4    Subd. 2. Funding. The council is encouraged to seek and use federal and private
2.5funds for the inventory."
