A bill for an act
relating to state government; waiving the deadline for electing retirement
incentives for certain public employees.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

(a) Notwithstanding Laws 2010, chapter 337, section 1, any person who began
employment with the Minnesota Senate on September 20, 1972, provided 38 years, five
months, and three days of service to the Minnesota Senate, retired on January 4, 2011, and
was born on July 24, 1955, is still eligible to elect to participate in the retirement incentive
provided under Laws 2010, chapter 337.

(b) An eligible person must accept the retirement incentive by June 30, 2011.

This section is effective the day following final enactment.
