A bill for an act
relating to aeronautics; appropriating money for an air transport optimization study
of the St. Cloud Regional Airport.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin ST. CLOUD REGIONAL AIRPORT AIR TRANSPORT OPTIMIZATION
STUDY; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin (a) $500,000 in fiscal year 2018 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation to conduct an air transport optimization planning study for the St. Cloud
Regional Airport.

new text begin (b) The study under paragraph (a) must be comprehensive and market-based, using
economic development and air service expertise to research, analyze, and develop models
and strategies that maximize the return on investments made to enhance the use and impact
of the St. Cloud Regional Airport.
