A bill for an act
relating to state government; prohibiting contracts with vendors that produce,
manufacture, or procure goods from certain regions in China; proposing coding
for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 16C.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

A state agency may not enter into a contract with
a vendor that produces, manufactures, or procures goods from China's Zinjiang Uyghur
Autonomous region that are made using convict labor, forced labor, indentured labor under
penal sanctions, or involuntary servitude.

This section does not apply to contracts with a value of less than
$5,000.

This section is effective July 1, 2021, and applies to contracts
entered on or after that date.
