A bill for an act
relating to arts and culture; appropriating money for Martin County veterans
memorial.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin MARTIN COUNTY VETERANS MEMORIAL.

new text begin $400,000 is appropriated from the arts and cultural heritage fund to the commissioner
of administration for a grant to Martin County to design and construct a memorial to those
who have served in the military of the United States of America and those who have died
in the line of duty. This appropriation is not available until the commissioner of management
and budget has determined that at least an equal amount has been committed to the project
from nonstate sources to complete the project.
