A bill for an act
relating to health; specifying how a certified birth record must document a stillbirth;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 144.2151, by adding a subdivision.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 144.2151, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

certificate of birth documenting a stillbirth under this chapter must be substantially in the
form prescribed in this section. Forms certified for public distribution must be substantially
in the following form:

The font used for "CERTIFICATE OF BIRTH" must be 12-point font and the remainder
of the certificate must be in 10-point font.

This section is effective for all certificates of birth documenting
a stillbirth executed on or after July 1, 2019.
