A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; transferring administration of Boomsite Wayside;
appropriating money; amending Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 85.013, by
adding a subdivision.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 85.013, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

Boomsite Historical Wayside, Washington County.

The commissioner of transportation must transfer the Boomsite Wayside, located 1.2
miles north of the junction of Trunk Highways 95 and 96, to the commissioner of natural
resources for use as a historic wayside. Boomsite Wayside must remain open to the public
until the transfer is completed and must remain open afterwards.

Upon the transfer under section 2, $50,000 is appropriated from the general fund
to the commissioner of natural resources for operation and maintenance of Boomsite
Historical Wayside. The money is available until expended.
