1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Thomas Wilfong for earning the rank of Eagle Scout.
1.3WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout rank is the highest rank earned in the Boy Scouts of America;
1.4and
1.5WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in Scouts BSA is an important achievement
1.6that is worthy of recognition; and
1.7WHEREAS, Thomas Wilfong is a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 18 and has
1.8displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.9WHEREAS, Thomas Wilfong has demonstrated mastery of all Scouting skills and has
1.10completed a community service project, which involved creating an educational community garden
1.11to help teach children about planting, caring for, and harvesting vegetables, and has fulfilled all
1.12other requirements necessary to attain the rank of Eagle Scout; and
1.13WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held on May 5, 2019; and
1.14NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.15congratulates Thomas Wilfong for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.17copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.18Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Thomas Wilfong.
