1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Michael O'Rourke of New Prague, Minnesota, for earning the rank of
1.3Eagle Scout.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout rank is the highest rank earned in the Boy Scouts of America;
1.5and
1.6WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in Scouts BSA is an important achievement
1.7that is worthy of recognition; and
1.8WHEREAS, Michael O'Rourke is a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 9323 and
1.9has displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.10WHEREAS, Michael has demonstrated mastery of all Scouting skills and has completed a
1.11community service project, which involved blazing a new trail through Ney Nature Center in
1.12Henderson, Minnesota, and fulfilled all other requirements necessary to attain the rank of Eagle
1.13Scout. The project included cutting back the trees, removing the brush, leveling out certain parts
1.14of the ground, and building two benches along the trail; and
1.15WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor was held on April 24, 2022; and
1.16NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.17congratulates Michael O'Rourke of New Prague, Minnesota, for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
1.18BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.19copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.20Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Michael O'Rourke.
