1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring Briana Clifton for being named a Comcast Leader and Achiever.
1.3WHEREAS, academic success and dedication to community are pursuits worthy of legislative
1.4recognition; and
1.5WHEREAS, Briana Clifton is a resident of Andover who will be attending the School of
1.6Medicine at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, this fall; and
1.7WHEREAS, Comcast NBCUniversal annually selects outstanding high school seniors on
1.8the basis of their demonstrated commitment to community service, excellence in academic
1.9performance, and outstanding qualities in character, integrity, and leadership; and
1.10WHEREAS, Briana Clifton has received a Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship in
1.11recognition of her leadership skills, academic performance, and work for her community; and
1.12NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.13congratulates Briana Clifton for receiving a Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship and extends
1.14best wishes for her future.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.16enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.17Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Briana Clifton.
