1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Douglas M. Dahlheimer on his 100th birthday.
1.3WHEREAS, our communities are blessed by the presence of those who have lived long lives
1.4and who are part of our living history; and
1.5WHEREAS, having a 100th birthday is a joyous occasion and a time to honor and congratulate
1.6the celebrant; and
1.7WHEREAS, Douglas M. Dahlheimer was born on May 9, 1922; and
1.8WHEREAS, Douglas is a veteran of WWII, having served his country honorably in the
1.9Navy from 1942 to 1946 on the USS Blue Ridge (AG2) as a fire controlman; and
1.10WHEREAS, Douglas also graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1946 and was a
1.11teacher at Robbinsdale Elementary; and
1.12WHEREAS, Douglas will be celebrating his 100th birthday on May 9, 2022; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates Douglas M. Dahlheimer on his 100th birthday.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.16enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.17Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Douglas M. Dahlheimer.
