1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Grant Marvin Leo Sutherland of Mendota Heights,
1.3Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and
1.5WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement
1.6that is worthy of recognition; and
1.7WHEREAS, Grant Marvin Leo Sutherland is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop
1.89248 and has displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.9WHEREAS, Grant has helped in many Eagle Scout projects and learned to follow
1.10instructions as well as give them. He has helped with the food shelf at Neighbors, Inc., painting
1.11walls and shelves, organizing and labeling the food, and cleaning up; and
1.12WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a
1.13community service project; and
1.14WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at St.
1.15Stephen's Church in West St. Paul; and
1.16NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.17it congratulates Grant Marvin Leo Sutherland of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, for receiving
1.18the Eagle Award.
1.19BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.20copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.21Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Grant Marvin Leo Sutherland.
