1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring Roxanne Minderman on being named one of the Women of
1.3Distinction in the Minnesota DFL Women's Hall of Fame.
1.4WHEREAS, the DFL Women's Summit Committee exists to recognize, encourage,
1.5support, and mentor women within the Minnesota DFL party, and works collaboratively to
1.6increase the acceptance and respect of women of all generations within the political process; and
1.7WHEREAS, the DFL Women's Hall of Fame honors outstanding women who are
1.8dedicated to the fundamental precept that women are major contributors to public policy in our
1.9state and nation, and who participate in the DFL Party, campaign on behalf of DFL candidates,
1.10and advocate on behalf of DFL principles and platform to achieve public policy objectives; and
1.11WHEREAS, based on her inspiring work, Roxanne Minderman is one of 11 named Women
1.12of Distinction in the Minnesota DFL Women's Hall of Fame in 2014; and
1.13WHEREAS, they, along with four Rising Stars, will be honored at this year's luncheon
1.14held at the Prom Center in Oakdale on June 8, 2014, at 11:00 a.m.; and
1.15NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota
1.16that it congratulates Roxanne Minderman on being named one of the Women of Distinction in
1.17the Minnesota DFL Women's Hall of Fame.
1.18BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.19enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.20Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Roxanne Minderman.
