1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Hunter Connelly of the Red Wing High School boys swimming/diving
1.3team on winning the 100-yard backstroke competition at the 2015 State High School
1.4Class 1A boys swimming/diving championship.
1.5WHEREAS, competitive sports in our high schools are helpful in teaching the principles of
1.6sportsmanship and fair play, thereby contributing to better citizenship; and
1.7WHEREAS, Hunter Connelly of the Red Wing swimming/diving team participated in the
1.82015 State High School Class 1A boys swimming/diving tournament on March 3-5, 2015; and
1.9WHEREAS, Hunter won the 100-yard backstroke competition; and
1.10WHEREAS, he finished the regular season with an outstanding record; and
1.11NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota
1.12that congratulations are extended to Hunter Connelly of the Red Wing High School boys
1.13swimming/diving team for his sportsmanship and skill.
1.14BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare
1.15an enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of
1.16the Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Hunter Connelly
1.17of Red Wing High School.
