1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring Executive Director of the Office of Broadband Development Angie
1.3Dickison on her service to the State of Minnesota.
1.4WHEREAS, Angie Dickison has devoted over 20 years to public service, eight of which
1.5have focused on broadband expansion; and
1.6WHEREAS, Ms. Dickison's public service to the State of Minnesota culminated with her
1.7appointment as Executive Director of the Office of Broadband Development; and
1.8WHEREAS, under Ms. Dickison's tenure, the Office of Broadband Development has been
1.9a national leader in broadband expansion through programs such as the highly regarded
1.10Border-to-Border Broadband Development Grant Program; and
1.11WHEREAS, the economy of our state and the quality of the lives of Minnesotans greatly
1.12benefited from increased access to broadband, which occurred due to Ms. Dickison's leadership;
1.13and
1.14WHEREAS, Ms. Dickison's professionalism, knowledge, and collaborative spirit have been
1.15deeply appreciated by the Minnesota Senate; and
1.16NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.17honors Angie Dickison and thanks her for her service to the State of Minnesota.
1.18BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.19enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.20Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Angie Dickison.
