1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of its Centennial
1.3celebration.
1.4WHEREAS, over the past 100 years, producers and providers of products and services in
1.5the Winona area have grown and prospered with the support and encouragement of the Winona
1.6Area Chamber of Commerce; and
1.7WHEREAS, during this time, countless members of the Winona Area Chamber of
1.8Commerce have invested their time, energy, and faith in the community and helped to contribute
1.9to an exceptional quality of life; and
1.10WHEREAS, while many communities have lost major businesses, Winona boasts
1.11numerous longtime companies as top employers for the area, and continued economic growth
1.12is forecasted for the future, thanks in large part to the efforts of the Winona Area Chamber of
1.13Commerce; and
1.14WHEREAS, the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce is celebrating 100 years of serving
1.15the community; and
1.16NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.17thanks and commends the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce for its dedication to a vibrant and
1.18diverse economic life in the community, and congratulates it on its Centennial celebration.
1.19BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare
1.20an enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of
1.21the Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the Winona
1.22Area Chamber of Commerce.
