1.2congratulating the Dover-Eyota High School girls basketball team
1.3on winning the 2015 State High School Class AA girls basketball
1.4championship.
1.5WHEREAS, competitive sports in our high schools are helpful in teaching the principles of
1.6sportsmanship and fair play, thereby contributing to better citizenship; and
1.7WHEREAS, the Dover-Eyota basketball team participated in the 2015 State High School
1.8Class AA girls basketball tournament on March 18-21, 2015; and
1.9WHEREAS, they defeated the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters 71 to 58 in the final game of the
1.10tournament to win the state championship; and
1.11WHEREAS, the Eagles finished the regular season with an outstanding record; and
1.12NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.13congratulations are extended to the members of the Dover-Eyota High School girls basketball
1.14team for their sportsmanship and skill.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare
1.16an enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of
1.17the Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the principal of
1.18Dover-Eyota High School.
