1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Matthew David Boettcher of Edina, Minnesota, for earning
1.3the rank of Eagle Scout.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout rank is the highest rank earned in the Boy Scouts of America;
1.5and
1.6WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in Scouts BSA is an important achievement
1.7that is worthy of recognition; and
1.8WHEREAS, Matthew David Boettcher, a senior at Edina High School, is a member of the
1.9Boy Scouts of America Troop 62 and has displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving
1.10member; and
1.11WHEREAS, Matthew has demonstrated mastery of all Scouting skills, completed a
1.12community service project, and fulfilled all other requirements necessary to attain the rank of Eagle
1.13Scout; and
1.14WHEREAS, Matthew is also in the Navy's Delayed Entry Program. He will be shipping out
1.15in August and has been accepted into their Nuclear Engineering Program; and
1.16WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held; and
1.17NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.18congratulates Matthew Boettcher of Edina, Minnesota, for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
1.19BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.20copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.21Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Matthew Boettcher.
