1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring Sister Patrice Keifer on the occasion of her retirement.
1.3WHEREAS, Sister Patrice Keifer began her career at St. Anthony Hospital in Milwaukee
1.4in 1954; and
1.5WHEREAS, in 1960 she moved to Alexandria to work as an administrator for Our Lady of
1.6Mercy Hospital; and
1.7WHEREAS, Sister Keifer's affiliation with Douglas County Hospital began with its merger
1.8in 1969 with Our Lady of Mercy; and
1.9WHEREAS, since 1973, she has served as Director of Human Resources for DCH; and
1.10WHEREAS, on April 9, 2013, a celebration will be held at the hospital in honor of Sister
1.11Patrice Keifer's retirement; and
1.12NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.13honors Sister Patrice Keifer for her six decades of service in health care and congratulates her
1.14on the occasion of her retirement.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.16enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.17Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Sister Patrice Keifer.
