1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Alexander E. Wiser on receiving the Eagle Scout Award.
1.3WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America is an organization dedicated to promoting
1.4community involvement, character building, citizenship, and personal fitness; and
1.5WHEREAS, the highest advancement rank is the rank of Eagle Scout and to earn the rank,
1.6a Boy Scout must fulfill specific requirements in the areas of leadership, service, and outdoor
1.7skills; and
1.8WHEREAS, the rank of Eagle Scout is the highest honor, promoting community service
1.9which will serve the young man throughout his life; and
1.10WHEREAS, the Scout must earn 21 merit badges in addition to planning, developing, and
1.11leading others in a service project helpful to a religious institution, school, or community; and
1.12WHEREAS, Alexander E. Wiser, a Scout with Boy Scout Troop 406, has attained the
1.13highest honor of Scouting, the rank of Eagle Scout; and
1.14NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.15it commends Alexander E. Wiser on his dedication and congratulates him on earning the rank
1.16of Eagle Scout.
1.17BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.18enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.19Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Alexander E. Wiser.
