1.1A Senate resolution
1.2commending Bob Brick for his years of dedicated mentorship and advocacy in the
1.3disability services field.
1.4WHEREAS, nonprofit organizations are pillars of our state and local communities and their
1.5existence within our society offer significant benefits to all of our citizens; and
1.6WHEREAS, Bob Brick has spent more than four decades managing and leading nonprofit
1.7organizations with a primary focus of providing disability services and policy advocacy to
1.8Minnesotans; and
1.9WHEREAS, Bob has served as the President and CEO of ALLY People Solutions and helped
1.10found ACCORD, two organizations which merged in 2019 to serve approximately 425 people
1.11annually through the support of 70 employees. Bob's years of experience in the disability services
1.12field allowed him to oversee operations of ACCORD's employment, day, and transportation services.
1.13In addition to his contributions to ACCORD, Bob served as a member on a number of advisory
1.14committees and boards of directors; and
1.15WHEREAS, while widely recognized for his knowledge of and skill for organizational
1.16development, public policy advocacy, and team building, Bob is also regarded as a creative, effective,
1.17and compassionate leader whose dedication to assisting those with disabilities in pursuing the
1.18highest level of self-sufficiency and public inclusion has improved the lives of countless community
1.19members. His unwavering passion and leadership have inspired many others to add their talents to
1.20the disability services field; and
1.21WHEREAS, after over 40 years in the field, Bob is retiring from his position to pursue his
1.22passion for fishing and creating memories with his beloved grandchildren; and
1.23NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.24commends Bob Brick for his many years of dedication and commitment.
2.1BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
2.2copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
2.3Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Bob Brick.
