1.2congratulating Alexander Bohdan Husak on receiving the Eagle Scout
1.3Award
1.4WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America is an organization dedicated to promoting
1.5community involvement, character building, citizenship, and personal fitness; and
1.6WHEREAS, the highest advancement rank is the rank of Eagle Scout and to earn the rank,
1.7a Boy Scout must fulfill specific requirements in the areas of leadership, service, and outdoor
1.8skills; and
1.9WHEREAS, the rank of Eagle Scout is the highest honor, promoting community service
1.10which will serve the young man throughout his life; and
1.11WHEREAS, the Scout must earn 21 merit badges in addition to planning, developing, and
1.12leading others in a service project helpful to a religious institution, school, or community; and
1.13WHEREAS, Alexander Bohdan Husak, a Scout with Boy Scout Troop 415 in Coon
1.14Rapids, Minnesota, has attained the highest honor of Scouting, the rank of Eagle Scout; and
1.15WHEREAS, Alexander Bohdan Husak, is the sixth member in two generations of his
1.16family to receive the rank of Eagle Scout and 2012 is the 100th anniversary of the Eagle Scout
1.17Award;
1.18NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that
1.19it commends Alexander Bohdan Husak on his dedication and congratulates him on earning the
1.20rank of Eagle Scout.
1.21BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare
1.22an enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that
1.23of the Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Alexander
1.24Bohdan Husak.
