1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Benjamin Kenneth Eli for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.3WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and
1.4WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement
1.5that is worthy of recognition; and
1.6WHEREAS, Benjamin Kenneth Eli is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 31 and
1.7has displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.8WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a
1.9community service project, which involved restoring a fish-rearing pond near Pelican Lake
1.10for stocking the lake; and
1.11WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at
1.12Avon Elementary School in Avon; NOW, THEREFORE,
1.13BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it congratulates Benjamin
1.14Kenneth Eli for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.16copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.17Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Benjamin Kenneth Eli.
