1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to lawful gambling; creating a new class of 1.3 premises permit; establishing fees; amending Minnesota 1.4 Statutes 2000, section 349.165, subdivisions 1 and 3. 1.5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 349.165, 1.7 subdivision 1, is amended to read: 1.8 Subdivision 1. [PREMISES PERMIT REQUIRED; APPLICATION.] A 1.9 licensed organization may not conduct lawful gambling at any 1.10 site unless it has first obtained from the board a premises 1.11 permit for the site. The board shall prescribe a form for 1.12 permit applications, and each application for a permit must be 1.13 submitted on a separate form.AThe premises permit issued by 1.14 the boardis valid for two yearsruns concurrently with the 1.15 license of the organization unless the premises permit is 1.16 suspended, revoked, or voluntarily terminated by the 1.17 organization. The board may by rule limit the number of 1.18 premises permits that may be issued to an organization. 1.19 Sec. 2. Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 349.165, 1.20 subdivision 3, is amended to read: 1.21 Subd. 3. [FEES.] (a) The board may issue four classes of 1.22 premises permits corresponding to the classes of licenses 1.23 authorized under section 349.16, subdivision 6. The fee for 1.24 each class of permit is: 1.25 (1) $400 for a class A permit; 2.1 (2) $250 for a class B permit; 2.2 (3) $200 for a class C permit; and 2.3 (4) $150 for a class D permit. 2.4 (b) If a premises permit is issued during the second year 2.5 of an organization's license, the fee for each class of permit 2.6 is: 2.7 (1) $200 for a class A permit; 2.8 (2) $125 for a class B permit; 2.9 (3) $100 for a class C permit; and 2.10 (4) $75 for a class D permit.
