A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; appropriating money for right-of-way acquisition and
construction of marked Trunk Highway 212.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION; MARKED TRUNK HIGHWAY 212
CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS.

(a) $20,000,000 is appropriated to the commissioner of transportation from the trunk
highway fund in fiscal year 2018 for acquisition of right-of-way and construction or
reconstruction of marked Trunk Highway 212 as a four-lane divided highway from County
Road 11 in Carver County to County Road 43 in Carver County.

(b) $8,000,000 is appropriated to the commissioner of transportation from the trunk
highway fund in fiscal year 2018 for acquisition of right-of-way and construction of an
interchange at marked Trunk Highway 212 and Carver County Road 140.

(c) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.28, this appropriation is available
for five years following the year of appropriation.

EFFECTIVE DATE.

This section is effective July 1, 2017.
