1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of 1.3 certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 1.4 in Wabasha county. 1.5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 1.7 PUBLIC WATER; WABASHA COUNTY.] 1.8 (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 1.9 282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of 1.10 Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Wabasha county may sell by 1.11 private sale to the city of Hammond the tax-forfeited land 1.12 bordering public water that is described in paragraph (c), under 1.13 the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282. 1.14 (b) The sale must be in a form approved by the attorney 1.15 general and shall not retain a reversionary interest to the 1.16 state. The sale may be for less than the appraised value of the 1.17 land. 1.18 (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Wabasha county 1.19 and is described as: the East 103 feet of Lot 6 and the East 1.20 128 feet of Lot 7, Block 1, city of Hammond. 1.21 (d) The county has determined that the county's land 1.22 management interests would best be served if the lands were sold 1.23 to the city of Hammond. 1.24 Sec. 2. [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 1.25 Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
