  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; correcting the name 
  1.3             of a grant recipient to that of the project owner; 
  1.4             amending Laws 1998, chapter 404, section 23, 
  1.5             subdivision 17. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Laws 1998, chapter 404, section 23, subdivision 
  1.8   17, is amended to read: 
  1.9   Subd. 17.  Paramount Arts District
  1.10  Regional Arts Center                                    750,000
  1.11  To the commissioner of administration 
  1.12  for a grant to the city of St. Cloud 
  1.13  Housing and Redevelopment Authority to 
  1.14  construct, furnish, and equip the 
  1.15  paramount arts district regional arts 
  1.16  center, subject to Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.17  section 16A.695.  This appropriation is 
  1.18  not available until the commissioner 
  1.19  has determined that the necessary 
  1.20  additional financing to complete at 
  1.21  least a $5,400,000 project has been 
  1.22  committed by nonstate sources. 
  1.23     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.24     Section 1 is effective the day after its final enactment.
