  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; permitting certain angling 
  1.3             assistance without a license; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 1996, section 97A.441, by adding a 
  1.5             subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 97A.441, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 9.  [ANGLING ASSISTANCE TO DISABLED RESIDENTS.] An 
  1.10  individual who is providing angling assistance to a disabled 
  1.11  resident licensed under subdivision 1, 4, or 5, is not required 
  1.12  to possess a license to take fish by angling provided that no 
  1.13  lines in addition to those permitted for an individual under 
  1.14  section 97C.315 are in the water.
