A bill for an act
relating to workforce development; appropriating money for grants to Milestone
Community Development and Minnesota STEM Project.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

$750,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $750,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from the
workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development
for a grant to Minnesota STEM Project. This is a onetime appropriation. In each year, 30
percent of the money granted under this section must be awarded as subgrants to nonprofits
located within the city of St. Paul. Subgrants must be awarded through at least two requests
for proposal.
