A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Asian Economic
Development Association.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin ASIAN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Asian Economic Development
Association to acquire, design, construct, furnish, and equip renovation and expansion of
their building in the city of St. Paul. This appropriation includes money to retire existing
debt on the real property. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until the project
is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
