A bill for an act
relating to human services; appropriating money to YMCA of the North for
homelessness services.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; YMCA OF THE NORTH HOMELESSNESS
SERVICES.

$2,489,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of human services for a grant to YMCA of the North to provide a staffed call line that youth
and families can contact when facing homelessness, to provide training on youth and adult
mental health first aid, and to support its Safe StaY Emergency Sheltering program. This
is a onetime appropriation.
