relating to environment; appropriating money for Twin Lake water-quality project.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; TWIN LAKE WATER-QUALITY PROJECT.

new text begin $110,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of the Pollution Control Agency for a grant to the Twin Lake Association in Hennepin
County to conduct and extend a water-quality and recreational-use improvement pilot project
for two years at Twin Lake. The grant must be used to contract for nonchemical, flow-through
water-quality improvement services, testing, necessary infrastructure, complementary
selective invasive-weed control, training, and maintenance. The appropriation is available
until December 31, 2025.
