A bill for an act
relating to human services; establishing a grant for culturally specific outreach to
customized living providers related to alternative licensing and business model
options; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE IN LONG TERM
CARE.

new text begin $350,000 in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of human services for a grant to the Center for Excellence in Long Term Care to conduct a
culturally specific outreach and education campaign toward existing customized living
providers that are currently licensed as assisted living facilities under Minnesota Statutes,
chapter 144G, but that might more appropriately serve their existing residents as a home
and community-based services provider licensed under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 245D.
This is a onetime appropriation and is available until June 30, 2027.
