relating to education; requiring financial report from teacher's union; proposing
coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 179A.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin By June 30 of each year, the state organization of the exclusive representative, if
any, of a unit that consists of employees in a school district or another public education
setting, must provide a detailed itemized annual financial report to each member of the
unit that must at least include: the dollar amounts of total member dues paid; campaign
expenditures of the state organization of the exclusive representative, whether attributable
to national, state, or local elections; salary and benefits per employee and the names
of employees of the state organization of the exclusive representative; and negotiation
costs and teacher legal representation costs of the state organization of the exclusive
representative.
