A bill for an act
 relating to local government; authorizing counties to appropriate money to certain
organizations to defray expenses of Veterans Day exercises; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2022, section 375.35.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 375.35, is amended to read:


375.35 deleted text begin $300deleted text end new text begin APPROPRIATIONSnew text end TO MILITARY SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS
FOR MEMORIAL DAYnew text begin AND VETERANS DAYnew text end .

A county board may also appropriate annually not more than $300 new text begin to defray the expenses
of Memorial Day exercises, and not more than $300 annually to defray the expenses of
Veterans Day exercises, new text end to each post of a recognized military service persons' organization
or society, holding charter from Congress or incorporated in this state, organized and existing
