A bill for an act
 relating to local government; authorizing Itasca County to establish a revolving
loan fund to upgrade failing septic systems.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. ITASCA COUNTY REVOLVING LOAN FUND AUTHORIZED.

Notwithstanding Laws 1998, chapter 389, article 16, section 31, subdivision 4,
as amended, Itasca County may use up to $2,000,000 of the principal of the county
environmental trust fund to establish a revolving loan fund to finance the upgrade or
replacement of failing septic systems within the county.
